Low Threat Profile - Self Titled 7"

Self Titled 7" by Low Threat Profile (members of Crossed Out/Infest/Lack of Interest). Fast Hardcore packed into a 4 minute record...apparently took close to a decade for this to get released. You can pick it up at Celebrated Summer and probably a million places around the tubes for $15 or so.

Low Threat Profile - Self Titled

Also a heads up to those of you who like punk/grind but don't want to spend a shit-ton on CDs and records and whatnot (and don't mind the character that comes with cassettes), check out ThrashMouthRecords. I've already uploaded 4 or 5 tapes from their catalog, but you can get a handful of tapes for around 10 bucks with only 2 or 3 dollars shipping...all quality underground stuff. Plus, they just put out a GODSTOMPER/Dos Amigos split. They're good friendly dudes, check it out.

GODSTOMPER - HEWHOCORRUPTS Split 7"

Yeah, this is totally a thinly veiled reminder for you guys to listen to our radio show at 10pm. But hey...Bass&Drums cover of 'Scum'? Emo-crushin' tunes? Face-melting gritty ass grind? Blastbeats out your asshole with basslines that just won't quit?

Shit...are we even relevant anymore?

Magrudergrind - Self Titled

Magrudergrind is thrashviolence/grindcore/'whatever genre tag you want to regurgitate' from the Baltimore/District of Columbia area. Here's a vinyl rip of Magrudergrind's self-titled EP, released sometime in late May/early June. I've been avoiding uploading this for a month or so now, but I think the band has more vested interest in people digging their album than making profit.

...Nonetheless

Real Reggae - Maze + THC Best

Real Reggae is Japanese Hardcore...a weird fusion of hardcore. This record spans over many varied subgenres of hardcore, like thrashcore, powerviolence, Oi Punk, traditional hardcore, and Bad-Brains style "Reggaecore" (albeit very rarely on this record). RR do exceptionally, and surprisingly, pretty well at capturing the energy of every single of them.

If only the cover art was better.

Iron Lung // Hatred Surge Split {POWERVIOLENCE}

This isn't really a split, but more of a collaboration between the two bands, "released" sometime earlier this year. I say "released", because realistically, the only place you can find this record...is on the internet. The Collab. was released on 100 test copies, of which you'd have to pay a pretty penny to obtain. Rumor is that the record will be released on an official pressing early 2009....but 'til then....

CROM Discography (as we know it, or at least, as I know it)

Lack of Interest

HOLYSHITANGRYPOWERVIOLENCE from the West Coast. Good shit--a new favorite of mine.

Lack of Interest - Trapped Inside

You know--I thought I would stop listening to hardcore and powerviolence after the end of Pat Robertson...but since I don't have to rush to download a dozen albums every week, I can take my time and be selective with the bands I check out. Expect more of this kind of stuff in the future.

Spazz - Sweatin' 3: Skatin', Satan, and Katon

This is Spazz's "Sweatin 3" album, which boasts a hearty helping of 67 tracks of pure powerviolence, including a Dead Kennedys and LARM cover:

Spazz - Sweatin' 3: Skatin', Satan, and Katon

Now take a look at this:

IRON LUNG (again!)

This CD is a compilation of songs they released (on 7"s, splits, whatever) before releasing Life. Iron Lung. Death. Some of my favorite songs are on this CD...and it's readily available for purchase, along with their other records, on Interpunk.com (They have a new album out!) If you like fast angry music--Iron Lung is your stuff.

Iron Lung - Cold Storage

and now for your viewing pleasure (just when you thought you forgot about it):

4/14/08

Power-violence.

I'm uploading these as requested by a friend--these are just a few of my favorite Iron Lung tunes with some Shank mixed in...I know I've played all of these once or twice on the air (whether on grinder or some show I've filled in for).

Iron Lung
Complications
Pushing Life
Regenerate
Modified for Arm Abduction

Shank
Adhesive the Equipment
Keepin' it Real (Dumb)

I would totally tell you guys where to buy these wonderful albums...but I really can't find them online anywhere. I suppose I'm not looking hard enough.

enjoy
